Wrap

The student filmmaker must be responsible for maintaining all contracts for a minimum of two years (we suggest seven) after wrap, and responsible for acknowledging and appropriately renewing any expiration dates or fees, etc. as pertain to the film while in circulation for public viewing at any time before or after graduating from DePaul.

The filmmaker(s) shall not rely on DePaul or SCA to store documents, media or other film assets for later retrieval once completed.

Students retain all intellectual property rights to the media created as a part of SCA curriculum, except those retained for others via contracts the student filmmakers may have signed. The University will first seek student permission to use a project in any promotional materials.

It is our hope and expectation that the filmmakers stay in touch with the Production Office even upon graduation, with updates and timelines for pending completion of Thesis and grant-related projects. We would love to support your efforts to share great news on social media, inside and to the public if able.
