SCA Student Handbook
Welcome!
We're glad you're here! This guide is your go-to resource for everything the School of Cinematic Arts, College of Computing and Digital Media, and DePaul University offer to support your journey as a filmmaker.
You'll find info on facilities, equipment, safety, and how to get the most out of your time here. While we update this handbook yearly, keep in mind that some details may change. It’s meant to guide—not to serve as legal advice or a contract.
At SCA, collaboration is key. We value respect, responsibility, and care—for each other, our spaces, and our gear. Treat your classmates and crew like the creative family they are, and help us keep our community strong, inclusive, and supportive.
Let’s make great stories together—and take care of the people and tools that help us tell them.
The Mission of The School of Cinematic Arts (SCA)
