Stage Reservations Duration & Policies

Check these policies before booking a stage to make sure your production runs smoothly!

Stage Reservation Guidelines

• Priority goes first to scheduled courses, then to MFA Thesis Films.

• View availability and request stage reservations with your Project Number (see "Greenlight") on Patron Portal.

• Management may deny or cancel reservations at any time, though we aim to provide access to all students whenever possible.

• One project cannot reserve two stages at the same time on any day. The first stage must be fully wrapped, reset, and cleaned before moving to another stage.

• Penalties for misuse of Cinespace Stages may apply. Please see FAQs.

Equipment & Stage Cancellations

• Email the [email protected] or cancel on Patron Portal reservations at least one business day in advance.

• Late cancellations may incur a penalty.

Using Cinespace Stages

Stage Use Rules:

• Treat all stages as professional sound stages and follow safety guidelines.

• A Stage Assistant will be on-site during your reserved time to answer questions and provide guidance.

• Follow the full stage policies provided with each reservation and also located here.

• Ensure all cast and crew follow the rules and procedures for your project.

Policy Highlights:

• Keep food and drink off stages use the breezeway or reserve a classroom for meals and/or craft service.

• Do not smoke or use open flames of any size.

• Keep the four-foot fire lane (yellow line around stage perimeter) clear; nothing can be left unattended.

• Use only the standard equipment package for your reserved stage. Do not move equipment or set dressing between stages. Reserve extra equipment at least 24 hours in advance.

Allow extra time to restore all spaces used, including stages, classrooms, hair & make-up rooms, kitchen, and other areas. Depending on your project, this could require additional wrap days or 30–60 minutes after shooting.

• For MFA Thesis Films, the MFA student is responsible for the full project, regardless of who makes the reservations.
