# General Release Form

All DePaul SCA students, and any non-SCA students working on DePaul student productions, must complete the **SCA Student General Release Form** once each academic year before:

* Working on a DePaul student film
* Using DePaul equipment
* Using DePaul stages or production facilities

The General Release Form confirms your willingness to participate in a production and allows DePaul to verify your involvement in university-supported projects.

### Cast & Crew Verification Process

Before a project can receive **Greenlight approval**, all cast and crew members must have a completed General Release Form on file.

To verify this:

1. Download the[ **Cast & Crew List Template**](https://d2l.depaul.edu/d2l/le/content/653204/viewContent/11635552/View) from SCA Central.
2. Complete the template following all instructions at the top of the form.
3. Do not modify the required identification columns.
4. Use DePaul email addresses for current DePaul students.
5. Leave Student ID blank for non-DePaul participants.
6. Upload the completed Excel file to your project submission.

The Production Office will use this information to verify release form completion.

### Release Check Dynamic View

Once your cast and crew list has been submitted, an automated system checks whether each participant has completed the annual General Release Form.

* Participants who have **not** signed will appear in red and automatically receive an email reminder.
* Participants who **have** signed will appear in green and require no further action.

Projects will not receive **Greenlight approval** until all required cast and crew members have submitted their release forms.

Exceptions for documentary projects or unique circumstances may be approved by the Manager of Production.
