# Advanced Camera Certifications

There are **two ways** for students to get certified on the Camera Vault’s advanced cameras.

<summary><strong>Take FILM 358: Camera Workshop</strong></summary>

* Students must have completed **FILM 150 or FILM 250** before enrolling.
* Passing this class certifies you on **all the advanced cameras covered**.

<summary><strong>Individual Testing with Camera Vault staff</strong></summary>

* Students must first test on a **Tier 1 camera** before moving on to other advanced cameras.
* If you’re new to a camera, it’s **recommended to schedule a practice session first**.

**Scheduling a Practice or Test Session**

* Email the Camera Vault at **<CameraVault@cdm.depaul.edu>**.

**Tier 1 Cameras**

* Canon C300 Mark II
* RED EPIC
* RED EPIC-W

**Practice & Test Times**

* At the Vault: **Tuesdays** (9 AM - 12 PM) and **Fridays** (1 - 6 PM)
* With Alex Sherman: **Saturdays** (contact him directly at **<asherma9@cdm.depaul.edu>** to schedule)

**About the Test**

* You have **1 hour** to complete the test.

Tasks include:

* Building the camera with all accessories
* Balancing the camera
* Navigating the camera’s settings

The Camera Vault offers certifications on all advanced cameras, PL lens packages, wireless video and focus systems, and other specialized camera accessories.
